In most homes the kitchen is a room that sees lots of traffic going through it, from people that are doing the cooking or washing to people eating, kids running around, and even pets passing in and out to go outside into the garden. When you imagine the number of people or pets that go through the kitchen each day it is easy to see why the floor can get damaged and worn.
Your kitchen is one of the most important parts of your home. You might have guests over who spend time in the kitchen. Plus, all of your family meals are prepared and eaten there. When big holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving come around, hours on end are spent in the kitchen to make sure that the feast is just perfect. Yet, the kitchen flooring often goes unnoticed.
The kitchen is a dirty place. Food and water spills on the floor can make it a death trap for many. Once food reaches the floor, bacteria can grow in between the tiles or the small spaces that the flooring does not quite meet up with the cabinets. Dirt from vendors and employees coming in and out of the kitchen can also cause slips and falls making the kitchen flooring one of the most important items in your kitchen, even more so than the mixers, sinks and ovens.
