Kitchens have become the heart of many homes, a living space where not only do people cook and eat, but where homework is done, and a place where guests love to gather. Space is a key issue with these new, multi-function kitchen areas, and one of the ways people are getting the space they need is by adding kitchen islands.
We lead a busy, crazy life like most of our neighbors and friends. Every day seems to blend into the next and before we have time to completely adjust to the work week it is Saturday again. One of the kitchen tools that we use every day of the week is our Kitchen Island but on weekends we use it for everything from enjoying our morning coffee to overflow seating for Sunday Supper.
In viewing various styles of kitchen, it is apparent that kitchen islands have progressed a tremendous amount over time. However, does every kitchen need an island? What are some pros and some cons?
